His Lordship Mar Jose Puthenveetil (Auxiliary Bishop, Ernakulum-Angamaly Archdiocese) blessed and Fr. Mathew Thonikuzhiyil (Joyce Francis) SDB, Provincial, inaugurated the newly constructed Junior School Building at Angamaly on 2 February 2015.
Advocate Jose Thettayil (MLA), Mr. Benny Moonjely (Municipal Chairman, Angamaly), Mrs. Reetha Paul (Municipal Councilor) and many Salesians, other priests and religious were present. As it was also the decennial celebration of the institution, Fr. Thomas Anchukandam SDB (the Former Provincial) and the Provincial Team who guided and supported the construction of the new building were remembered during the function. The pioneers who served the institution in different capacities were also honoured.
Being the Bicentenary of the Birth of St. John Bosco the cultural extravaganza was centered on the theme of Don Bosco, the priest and his charism for youth. The students and parents were very appreciative of the quality of the programme and the organization.
Mar Jose Puthenveetil and Fr. Provincial congratulated Fr. Devassy Chirackel (Rector), Fr. Joe Kallupura (Principal) and Fr. Johnson K. P. (Administrator) for their hard work and efficient organization.
